How low is low-carb?
There’s no single definition, but ketogenic diets usually limit carbohydrate to about 20–50g a day, and broader low-carb diets to under 130g. A 10g item uses a meaningful slice of a keto budget, so the order you build around it matters.
17 items on this list have 1g of carbs or less. The highest-protein option is Bacon & Gruyère Egg Bites with 19g of protein and 9g of carbs.
Total carbs, not net carbs
We rank by total carbohydrate exactly as the restaurant publishes it. “Net carbs” (total carbs minus fibre) isn’t an official nutrition-label figure and restaurants don’t publish it, so if you count net carbs your numbers will be a little lower.
Where hidden carbs come from
Most fast-food carbs come from bread, buns, tortillas, breading, rice, sugary sauces and sweetened drinks. Most of this list is proteins, eggs, salads, sauces and unsweetened drinks for that reason. Ordering a bowl instead of a burrito, or a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, at Starbucks is usually the biggest swap you can make.
