About Fast Food Calc
Fast Food Calc turns restaurant nutrition guides into calculators. Pick what you’d order and the site adds up the calories, macros, sugar, sodium and caffeine for you. It’s free and needs no app or account.
Where the data comes from
We only use nutrition information published by the restaurants themselves, and we keep a copy of every source so the numbers can be audited. We currently cover 1044 menu items:
- Starbucks (United States, 287 items): Starbucks US menu (starbucks.com/menu, ordering menu JSON used by the site) and 2 more official sources. Checked 2026-10-16.
- Starbucks UK (UK & Ireland, 229 items): Starbucks UK Nutrition & Allergen Guide - Beverages (Autumn 2026) and 1 more official source. Checked 2026-10-15.
- Chipotle (United States, 59 items): Chipotle nutrition calculator data: menu metadata with nutrition (US, web channel) and 5 more official sources. Checked 2026-10-15.
- McDonald's (United States, 119 items): McDonald's US Nutrition Calculator (menu definition) and 2 more official sources. Checked 2026-10-15.
- Chick-fil-A (United States, 131 items): Chick-fil-A Nutrition & Allergens guide (nutrition per serving + allergen table) and 1 more official source. Checked 2026-10-16.
- Taco Bell (United States, 111 items): Taco Bell Full Nutrition Information (official table on tacobell.com/nutrition/info, hosted by Nutritionix) and 3 more official sources. Checked 2026-10-16.
- KFC (United States, 108 items): KFC Full Nutrition Guide (official table on kfc.com/full-nutrition-guide, hosted by Nutritionix) and 4 more official sources. Checked 2026-10-16.
Regions matter: a UK Starbucks latte uses different milk and recipes from a US one, so every page states which country’s menu it covers.
How we check it
- Data is extracted by scripts (kept in our repository) rather than typed by hand.
- Every item is sanity-checked: calories should roughly equal 4 kcal per gram of protein and carbohydrate plus 9 kcal per gram of fat. Outliers are compared against the original document.
- When an official source contains an obvious error (for example a black coffee listed at several hundred calories) we leave that item out rather than publish a wrong number.
- We never estimate missing values. If a restaurant doesn’t publish a nutrient, we show a dash.
How the guides work
Lists like “low-calorie drinks” or “high-protein picks” are generated from the data using the rules stated on each page, so they update automatically whenever a menu changes.
